フィンランドのtonfiskのWARMシリーズよりTea & Coffee Cup(ホワイト×ウォルナット)です。
陶器とラミネート加工を施したプライウッドを組み合わせたカップです。
24clのカップなので、紅茶やコーヒーなどいろいろな用途でご使用頂けるサイズです。

自然オイルで仕上げられたウォールナットのホルダーが断熱機能を果たし、またカップスタンドの役目も果たしています。
カップをテーブルに置くと陶器部分との間に空間ができるようデザインされているため、コースターを使用する必要がありません。

セラミックのカップは食洗機対応です。
ウォールナットのホルダーは下部の切れ目部分に指をかけてくるりと回すと簡単に取り外せますので、器を洗う際には取り外して下さい。
またスタンド部分は濡れた布で拭いていただけますが、その後乾いた布で拭いて完全に乾かして下さい。
定期的にオイルを塗っていただくと長く美しくご使用頂けます。

2個セット、専用ボックスでお届け致しますが、箱には輸送中の擦れやつぶれ、また小さな傷や破れなどがある場合がありますことご了承下さい。

また箱はメーカー仕様が変更(茶箱)になっておりますので、画像の物は現在のものではありません。

Tonfiskの創業者でありデザイナーのBrian Keaney(ブライアン・ケアニー)フィンランドでデザインを学ぶため、1996年にアイルランドから来て以来、ずっとフィンランドから離れる事ができないでいるブライアン。
2007年、フィンランドの*Ilmari Tapiobaara賞を受賞また**Ornamo Design賞も受賞している。

独自の創造性もさることながら機能性に優れ、新しいブランドでありながら世界中から高い評価を得ているTonfisk Design。
Tonfiskは、スウェーデン語で「マグロ」を意味します。ある寒い冬の夜、どれだけ考えても会社の斬新さ独自性やパーソナリティー、そしてフィンランドを表現できる良い社名は考えつかず、Tonfiskが選ばれました。
”Tonfisk”はその当時は、それらのどれにも当てはまらないように思いましたが、私たちはとても良いと思いました。
今では”Tonfisk”は、全てにおいてフィットしています!

Bored of seeing more of the same we established the Finnish Design company Tonfisk Design in 1999 to market and produce objects which are not mere variations.

Our philosophy from the very beginning ‘ forms follows function doesn’t mean all objetcs have to look the same’ is built on Louis Sullivan's functionalist dictum. It describes best our design philosophy. Tonfisk products are created with a vision of not producing yet another shape but a whole new idea. This we see as a core value of both Finnish and Scandinavian design.

‘Tonfisk’ means ‘tuna fish’ in Swedish. The name was chosen late one Finnish winter night because no other name seemed to fit the values of the company- innovative, personal, Finnish. ‘Tonfisk’ didn’t seem to either at the time but we liked it. Funnily nowadays it seems to fit just right!

Tonfisk Design started out on the appropriately named Finnish street Lemuntie (Stinky Road) in Helsinki but in 2007 moved to Finland’s Turku where it continues to be based. Its products have been featured in numerous magazines, books and exhibitions. It products are in the collections of several museums included Les Art decoratifs in Paris.

Until 2012 all Tonfisk’s ceramics were produced at our own factory in Turku, Finland. However in 2012 the production has been moved to a small factory in China owned by Mr. Lu. The reason for moving the production was so that we could offer a price which would allow our products to be sold to a wider audience around the world.
